The Very Best Of Nat King Cole

Nat King Cole(納京高)1919-1965年。
　1919年3月17日生于十美國(guó)亞拉巴馬州的蒙哥馬利，在芝加哥長(zhǎng)大。科爾12歲就在教堂里演秦管風(fēng)琴，同時(shí)還參加唱詩(shī)班唱歌。他的3個(gè)兄弟埃迪、弗雷德和伊薩克，后來也成了爵士樂音樂家。1936午，科爾離開了由哥哥埃迪·科爾領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的”純粹搖擺者”樂隊(duì)，來到洛杉磯，領(lǐng)導(dǎo)了一支專為時(shí)事諷刺劇《曳步前行》配樂的樂隊(duì)。1937年，科爾組建了一支自己的三重奏，為調(diào)節(jié)氣氛，科爾在演奏間隙還不時(shí)唱一首老歌，結(jié)果超出了他的想象，觀眾需要更多的歌曲，于是他開始重視演唱．直到1940年．他們才獲得機(jī)會(huì)為迪卡唱片公司錄音。40年代，科爾錄制了數(shù)量巨大而且十分精彩的爵士樂唱片，其中包括1944年由萊斯特·楊、伊利諾伊·雅克和第一爵士管弦樂團(tuán)擔(dān)任特色樂師的音樂會(huì)和為國(guó)會(huì)大廈唱片公司錄制的為數(shù)眾多的唱片選曲。抖爾在演唱了非常流行的《自然的男孩》和《圣誕之歌》后，又把主要的精力花在了鋼琴演奏上。1949年．科爾演唱的歌曲《蒙娜麗莎》對(duì)波普爵士樂產(chǎn)生了巨大的影響，從此一舉成名并進(jìn)入了著名爵士樂歌星的行列。1950—1960年期間，科爾的大部分錄音都是流行民謠，偶爾也有例外．如1956年他錄制的唱片《午夜之后》。科爾雖然在演奏方面的才華幾乎要被演唱方面的成就所掩蓋，但他仍然具有精湛的演奏技巧。1956—1957年期間，他定期正電視節(jié)目中的表演，仍然保持了較高的水平。1965年2月25日．科爾在加利福尼亞州圣莫妮卡被肺癌奪去了生命，年僅46歲。

對(duì)于我國(guó)多數(shù)知道他的人來說，是王家衛(wèi)的《花樣年華》給了我們認(rèn)識(shí)他的機(jī)會(huì)。Nat King Cole的《Quizas quizas quizas》與《花樣年華》的風(fēng)格配合的天衣無縫，為其增加了不少色彩，這首歌也成了很多人的最愛。

這專輯里面都是老舊聲音了，音色平順是因?yàn)榻?jīng)過現(xiàn)代數(shù)碼技術(shù)修復(fù) Digital Remaster，也是通過這類技術(shù)Ntalie Cole有機(jī)會(huì)和父親合唱那首著名的Unforgettable-----就是電影守望者里面出現(xiàn)的男女對(duì)唱。
