All the Plans

在一定程度上，Starsailor(星際水手)是可以與Coldplay、Travis等以純粹英倫吉他搖滾純粹學院風相提并論的，雖然名氣可能沒有后兩者的大，但Starsailor也影響了不少的人。《All The Plans》是樂隊沉寂四年之后磨出的一柄亮劍，經過第二張專輯《Silence Is Easy》和第三張專輯《On the Outside》的搖擺，樂隊此番重新請回第一張專輯《Love Is Here》的制作人Steve Osborne，試圖尋回第一張專輯中熟悉的默契以及曾經帶給樂迷們的感傷。

　　由流暢大氣的鋼琴開場，Starsailor似乎在向人們展示除吉他旋律之外的更廣闊的空間，在之前他們的音樂當中，鋼琴多少只作為點綴貫穿在吉他的和弦當中，然而在這一開場的《Tell Me It's Not Over》當中，鋼琴和吉他的角色卻調了個個兒，直到下一曲《Boy In Waiting》當中才將吉他的主角位置恢復。從歌詞的角度來看，這張專輯仍舊沒有脫離樂隊早前一直關注的情感和傷逝話題，專輯中間的一曲《Hurts too Much》從名字上就直截了當地說明了傷痛的感覺。當然配器上的大氣寬廣恰巧也可以襯托出這種傷感的意味，專輯同名曲《All The Plans》的合聲段落和《Neon Sky》后端的吉他solo可以充分彰顯樂隊這方面的特色。

　　如果不是太苛刻，Starsailor四年后的新專輯基本上可以達到優良的分數，而屬于他們自己的風格特色也越來越明晰，再少被以Beatles等這些老樂隊的接班人作為冠冕，我們也可以從主唱兼樂隊主創James Walsh愈發成熟的演唱方式當中聽出樂隊的自信。
