Andy Reed

First off, I hate doing bios. I have been playing and recording music for about 8 years now and I love it more and more everyday. I've been lucky enough to work with some of the best musicians (and people) in such a short time. I started a band with my brother in 2000 called the Haskels. We were a powerpop trio trying to write Cheap Trick songs and break stuff like The Who. We had a great time doing it too. We had gotten the chance to work with indie pop guru Brendan Benson on our one full length record. After that My brother and I joined two-ex-atomic numbers to for The Rioteers. We released a 5 song e.p. About a year later my brother and I released an acoustic charged singer/songwriterish record and we called ourselves The Reed Brothers. Very original I know. This is when I really started using the studio itself as an instrument. Then I decided to then make my own records. I released an e.p. in 2006 and I just released my first full length record. This has been my most ambitious project to date. I have put many hours in at my home studio to get everything just right. Throughout this time I've also recorded records for some artists like Kenny Stahl and Brett Mitchell, as well as mixing records for Arthur Autumn and The Verve Pipe. I am currently working on a few projects as producing and recording have become kind of a full time thing. Did I mention I'm a studio gear freak. My favorite pieces are my Peluso 2247 tube mic, my Vintech 1272 mic pres, and my Chandler Limited LTD-2 Compressor. Keep in touch and hopefully you enjoy the sounds.
