如果跟喜歡英文歌曲的朋友提起Melanie C也許會有些陌生，但是提到辣妹組合，我想再不關(guān)心歐美音樂的也會如雷貫耳吧！ 辣妹組合早就在歌迷的痛哭惋惜中解體，嫁人的嫁人，監(jiān)守音樂的無論如何也趕不上以前的輝煌，但是談到音色，也許你會記得那個磁性十足沙啞的聲音，在五人之中獨樹一幟，那就是Melanie C了。 一直關(guān)注各人的發(fā)展，只有其中兩位還在樂壇活躍，曾經(jīng)是Spcie Grils一員的Melanie C，單飛之后成績突出。 1970年代Melanie C生長在一個宗教氣氛濃厚的家庭里。父母在她三歲時離異，并各自有了新的家庭。母親是當(dāng)?shù)氐囊晃桓枋帧Ｇ髮W(xué)時代，Melanie一直是個相當(dāng)優(yōu)異的學(xué)生，對表演有濃厚的興趣。她一直想學(xué)彈吉他，也夢想能成為一個明星。1994年 出現(xiàn)一個五人組合，是經(jīng)紀(jì)人為了組成一個女的接招合唱團(tuán)而征選的，團(tuán)員分別是Melaine Brown〈Mel B〉，Melanie Chisholm〈Mel C〉，Victoria Adams〈Victoria〉，Geri Halliwell〈Geri〉及后來未加入的Michelle Stephenson。1994年 Michelle Stephenson離團(tuán)后，Emma Bunton加入，此五人團(tuán)體取名Spice Girls。1995年 Spice Girls與經(jīng)紀(jì)公司19 Management簽約，9月與EMI旗下的Virgin唱片公司簽約。Melanie C就是Sporty Spice。 The world-famous Sporty Spice, singer Melanie Chisholm was born January 12, 1975, in Liverpool, England; a onetime session vocalist and ballet dancer, in March of 1994 she answered an advertisement for an all-girl vocal group, and with fellow applicants Geri Halliwell, Victoria Adams, and Melanie Brown formed the nucleus of what later (with the addition of fifth member Emma Bunton) became the Spice Girls. The biggest pop phenomenon of the late '90s, the Spice Girls enjoyed a series of chart-topping singles like "Wannabe," "Say You'll Be There," and "2 Become 1"; as the tracksuit-clad Sporty Spice, Mel C (as Chisholm was commonly known) was widely considered the most musically talented Spice Girl, and in the fall of 1999 she made her solo debut with Northern Star. I Turn to You followed a year later. Reason from 2003 was a mainstream pop album while 2005's Beautiful Intentions was a more rocking affair and the first album to be released on Melanie C's own label, Red Girl Records.
