Breaking Point

Breaking Point是一個來自Memphis的alternative rock樂隊. 樂隊成立于1999年,起初只有主音Brett Erickson吉他手Justin Rimer兩個人,在錄制過幾首demo并在當(dāng)?shù)匮莩龊蟊凰髂酈MG旗下的Wind-up唱片公司簽下. Breaking Point至今發(fā)行過兩張專輯,分別是01年發(fā)行的和05年發(fā)行的. 他們的的歌曲被許多電影收錄,其中包括《蝎子大帝》、《神奇4俠》，除了《蛇行太保》的預(yù)告片外，他們的“One of a Kind”也是著名職業(yè)摔跤手 Rob Van Dam的入場曲。 06年中尋，Breaking Point與Creed前主唱Scott Stapp進(jìn)行了全美的巡回演出。07年7月，吉他手Justin Rimer轉(zhuǎn)投于另一個樂團(tuán)12 Stones。 Breaking Point像是sum 41和fall out boy的混合體.主音的聲音足夠滿足樂曲和觀眾的需要,貝司似乎沒什么表現(xiàn),但是飽滿的鼓點還是起到一個很好的支撐效果.專輯中每首歌都值得一聽..如今美國新星群起的情況下可以脫穎而出,成為美國近年來炙手可熱的樂隊,這讓大家都非常期待Breaking Piont又一輪精彩表現(xiàn) Memphis, TN-based rock quartet Breaking Point included Brett Erickson (vocals/guitar), Justin Rimer (guitar), Jody Abbott (drums), and Greg Edmondson (bass). The group came together when Rimer was working at a music store and discovered he had quite a bit in common musically with a customer, Erickson, who had come to purchase a P.A. system. The rest of the band soon fell into place while Rimer took a job at the renowned Memphis recording studio Ardent, where he worked on sessions for 3 Doors Down and Train. After studio execs heard demos of Breaking Point via Rimer, they offered the group a "spec" deal that became the eight-song demo recorded between late 1999 and August 2000. Local radio station WMFS began playing tracks from the group, resulting in the song "27" becoming the most-requested track at the station and climbing to number one on the play list. Shortly thereafter, Wind Up signed the group, issuing their Creed-esque debut, Coming of Age, in September of 2001. Breaking Point disappeared for awhile then, but resurfaced in spring 2005 with the Wind Up release of their sophomore effort Beautiful Disorder.
